What’s the difference between rattan and wicker? After doing a bit of research, since I also didn’t truly understand, I found a pretty simple answer.
Rattan is a product, while wicker is a process.

But essentially what I found is that rattan is a type of material made from the climbing palms of the subfamily Calamoideae. Whereas wicker is a type of weaving technique that can be used with a variety of different materials. Make sense?
