When I first heard the term “microclimates” I imagined a setting of tiny people living in an abandoned tin can. The scene was tropical and the tiny people were barbecuing amongst tiny palm trees wearing tiny sunglasses and tiny visors. Outside of the summery tin can was a vast field of snow surrounded by regular-sized evergreens and normal-looking reindeer (whatever your definition of normal may be.) Permaculture : Lessons Learned From Week One

Have you ever found yourself thinking about all the problems in the world?
You spiral down and take a deep breath. In your mind you see a list scrolling towards you, getting bigger and bigger, like the credits in the Star Wars movies. Instead of waiting for the end of that list, you open your eyes, and give your head a little shake, as if that’s going to scatter the problems to all sides of your brain. That way you won’t have to deal with them.
